SIGN UP AND CANCELLATION PROCEDURESLangara will not take calls from members to be added to tee times. In order to play, you must sign up on the web site within the deadline above.Please do not call the proshop. This applies even if there are available spots. If there are available spots, you can go to the course on the day of play and take your chances on a first come, first play basis.

If you have to cancel, you can only call Langara on the day of play. Langara will charge a cancellation fee of $10 for notice less than 2 hours or no shows.

near Palm Springs,CA

Hi there,

As you may know, I am a co-owner of a vacation home in Palm Springs, California that we also make available for rent to our friends and colleagues. The house is very spacious, sleeps 6 comfortably (and 8 cosily!), with 2 full bathrooms and three bedrooms, large living room, and an eat-in kitchen area!  The backyard is very private, completely fenced, with a beautiful view of the snow-topped San Jacinto Mountains available from the outdoor patio and dining area, as well as from our large salt water pool and jacuzzi.

My brother David is our property manager in Palm Springs. He lives two blocks away from the house and is available to meet and greet all renters, as well as help out as needed during people’s stay. Although Palm Springs is best known for its golf, there is much more that can be done there, including great biking, hiking, horseback riding, shopping, dining and entertainment (great live acts and lots of gambling action at the local casinos for those so inclined). In addition, the Coachella Valley, in which Palm Springs is located, is host to many international sporting and entertainment events, including the Palm Springs International Film Festival (January), the Indian Wells Tennis Tournament (March) and of course, our favourite, the Kraft Nabisco Golf Championship (end of March). Lots of things to do for both the guys and the gals, and adults as well as children, with Disneyland, San Diego, and Los Angeles all within a two to two and a half hour drive.

Last years tournament was such a success we have added an additional 24 spots so now we can accommodate 40 Golfers.
We look forward to a fun round of golf with our gay brothers and sisters. Compete for Long Drive, KP and of course the “straightest acting” drive. Other Prizes will be awarded for the following categories (non skill):

• Best Overall Outfit

• Payne Stewart Look Alike costume prize

• Best Hat (yes that’s right hat!)

• Best Legs (male & female)

• Best Fishing story, or the Put that got away

Play will start sharply at 9:30am so please be sure to show up at LEAST 15 minutes before your scheduled tee time. Groups will be published at least one week before the tournament. If you have a preferred golfing partner please register all golfers first then email: marc@amuseconsulting.ca with your complete foursome partners names.

The 2011 Outgames golf tournament will take place over 2 days at Langara Golf Course in Vancouver Monday 25th, Wednesday 27th July…tee times will begin at 10.30

Your registration fees includes 2 rounds of golf, complimentary breakfast served at the clubhouse from 9.00 for all registered golfers and a gift package

The tournament is open to players of all levels of skill and ability, Wednesday’s medal round will require player handicaps and scores to be recorded. Club Rentals are available by contacting the clubhouse directly @ 604.713.1816. Power Carts $40.00 contact the clubhouse to reserve @ 604.713.1816.
